Naomi McCarthy

Naomi McCarthy was vice-captain of the Australian women’s water polo team that won gold at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, and captain at the 2004 Athens Olympics. She was inducted into the Water Polo Queensland Hall of Fame in 2009. Naomi has 241 international caps to her credit, and was national captain for over a hundred of these. She is director on the board of the Queensland Academy of Sport, manager of the Sports College at Griffith University, and a mother of two.
