Professor Fiona Stanley AC is founding director and patron of the Telethon Kids Institute. She also holds positions as a distinguished research professor at The University of Western Australia and vice-chancellor’s fellow at The University of Melbourne.

She has championed Aboriginal child health and wellbeing throughout her career, and has authored over 300 publications, books and book chapters.

She was named Australian of the Year in 2003.
