Elaine Reeves

New Zealand born Elaine Reeves has worked on newspapers there and in London and Sydney before moving to Tasmania in 1988.

For 18 years she has written a weekly feature on food for the Mercury newspaper in Hobart, in which she talks to people who grow, cook, process and otherwise add value to and sell food.

Elaine lives with her partner, a farmer, who grows blueberries, strawberries and garlic near Cygnet, in southern Tasmania. She is on the executive committee of Slow Food Hobart.
